Looking for a CONSERVATIVE Catholic University that offers advanced degrees

I’m going to graduate with a Masters of Theology in a few years and I want to continue on with my studies seeking either a Pontifical degree such as a STL or JCL. Perhaps I might eventually go higher to the ultimate Catholic degree of having an STD. Though I am not opposed to going for a doctorate from a Catholic School that cannot offer Pontifical degrees.

The biggest problem is that I am a conservative, both politically and religiously, and this has hurt me a bit while studying for my masters. I do not want to deal with this nonsense later on. As a result Im not really sure what Universities are conservative in orientation. I have no problem going to Italy or just about anywhere else in the world. So location is not a problem. Any information that anyone could provide would be welcome.

I’m not sure if the following schools offer the degree you’re looking for, but they are conservative:
  • Ave Maria University
  • Franciscan University of Steubenville
  • Catholic University of America
  • Christendom College
  • University of Dallas

The Catholic University of America definitely does, but I am surprised to hear that it’s Conservative. I just figured the being located in DC that it wouldn’t be.

I’ll have to check on the other schools to see if they offer higher degrees.
