Does anyone know where I can get a Douay-Rheims Bible without paying through the nose for it? Thanks in advance.

The Catholic Company seems to have reasonable prices ($30-50 for the Bible; $17 for the New Testament only). Amazon is around the same price for new books, but really cheap (under $10) if you’re okay with used copies.

There are good deals online. I only paid $35.00 for mine but for the life of me I can’t remember the site. Sorry.
Then about a year later the chaplain at the hospital where I work, was cleaning out the storage area and invited me to see if there were any books that she thought I would like.
My eyes immediately fell on a Douay-Confraternity Bible…the only catholic book in the entire storage full of protestant material.
I was ecstatic and the chaplain must’ve thought that I was going to break out into dance.
Next time I saw a priest, I had him bless it and I keep it in my office at work.

TAN Books will soon be releasing a new edition of the Douay-Rheims Bible. Of course, the prices for the ones with better covers are more expensive, but they also have a paperback edition for $29.95 (which appears to perhaps have been released already). Admittedly it’s not cheap compared to many other translations of Scripture, but it’s cheaper than many versions of the Douay-Rheims Bible that are out there.
(Of course, as was mentioned earlier you can always buy it used as well on places such as Amazon if it is not necessary for it to be new)

I go to an Amvets thrift store that has a lot of books and buy very cheap catholic bibles to give to people. ($1.00 on wed with senior discount). I’m looking for that D-R Confraternity. And yes, I’ll probably break dance on the spot when I find it.
