I have a general question. I’m looking for a book about the separation between the Catholic church and the Eastern Orthodox. Does anyone know a good book on the topic they could recommend.

Well, I don’t know of a book dedicated solely to this topic, I can point you to several articles that are shorter and free because they’re online

The Catholic Encyclopedia is a good source for a general overview on the topic:

• Eastern Schism
• (The articles on Eastern Churches and the Orthodox Church may also be helpful).

Here are some other articles on the subject (or related to it):

• Eastern Orthodoxy by Fr. John Hardon
• The Great Schism that Divided East and West by Paul L. Miller
• Eastern Catholic Churches by Catholics United for the Faith

Here are some good books on Church History in general that would address the topic in part of the book:

• The Compact History of the Catholic Church by Alan Schreck
• Catholic Church History From A to Z by Alan Schreck
• Triumph: The Power and Glory of the Catholic Church by H.W. Crocker III
• Church History by Fr. John Laux

Note: These are all from a Catholic perspective (and usually Latin rite Catholic at that). You’d have to ask someone else for books written from the Orthodox perspective.

Along with the above recommendation of “Triumph”, by Crocker, I’d recommend, “The Russian Church and the Papacy”, by Vladimir Soloviev.
