So I’m subscribed to “The Catholic Company”’s daily morning offerings and usually they’ll quote or write about books that Catholics would be interested in and are relative to their morning offerings. They mentioned a book a few months back but I never got the name of it but wanted to check it out so I was wondering if it rung a bell to any of you…
It goes along the plot of a catholic priest in disguised of a nazi. I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure he is in disguise in hopes to save both Nazi and Jews.

I think the film is The Red and the Black with Gregory Peck

Apologies in advance for the derail.
Monsignor Hugh O’Flaherty. Utterly amazing story. His cause must certainly have been introduced, as his repeated risking of life to save allied soldiers and Jews living in Rome from Nazi death camps was certainly heroic virtue. Movie-wise, Gregory Peck was, in my mind, an odd choice to play him, yet the movie is ultimately very edifying with a providential twist at the end.

I think the book on which the film “The Scarlet and the Black” was based is “The Vatican Pimpernel”, an absorbing, breathtaking book.

Just purchased on Kindle :blush:Thank you! Looking forward to reading it and also watching Scarlet and the Black
