Looking for a traditional book on marriage

Hello all,
As a recently engaged traditional Catholic I was hoping to find some good recommendations for books on preparing for marriage, making a Catholic home, and starting/cultivating a Catholic family that date from the pre-V2 era…or at least something solidly traditional. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

These are excellent reprints to get you started and are from a conservative publisher completely faithful to the Magisterium. No, I don’t work for the publisher, I just recommend their books 😉
 
I would recommend “Story of a Family” which is about the home life of St. Therese of Liseuix. Her parents, Blesseds Zelie and Louis Martin, are the best models for creating a Catholic family and atmosphere that I can think of.

Though it doesn’t cover all your topics, a good one is ‘Love and Responsibility.’ It is a book by a young polish priest of the 1950s, and has a TON of good stuff on God’s plan between men and women.
 
“Three to get Married” by Ven. Fulton J. Sheen is a good one too!

When, Whom and How to Marry - b Rev. C. McNeiry, C.Ss.R., 73 pages, little book is meant to help young people who as yet do not know to what state of life God calls them, but in all probability will be called to the married state. Impr. 1921

Dear Newlyweds - by Pope Pius XII - Pope Pius XII speaks to married couples.

There are alot of others out there directed to young women and young men and also for mothers/fathers.
