Looking for a very specific version of the bible

Evening all, I am still quite new and writing off a check-list of things I need - essential stuff mostly:

RSV-CE Bible - check.
Catechism - check.
Rosary with sentimental value - check.

…and then an item for the list dawned on me which is probably not essential, but it did make me wonder why they aren’t more readily available: untranslated version of the bible, preferrably with chapter/verse indicators. I know the chapter verse system was introduced later, but has such a reprint of the original text been done? Can it be done with the differing sentence structure (assuming yes since foreign translations do it)? If yes to the last 2, can anyone point me in the direction of where I might lay my hands on a copy? My cursory attempts to google it have returned precious little, but I am sure I’m not looking properly.

I work in a predominantly Jewish area and am always struck by the significance they seem to place on having things written in the original language. Why do we not make such a big deal about that?

What the original text is is a question that we may have no answer to. You can get access to the Masoretic Text (i.e. the Hebrew text of the Jewish Bible and/or Protestant OT), and access to the Septuagint (Greek translation of the OT). And there are some very good critical editions of the Greek NT. A few wackos also side with Aramaic primacy for the NT, and like the Pesheetto (AKA Peshitta). All these texts are readily available, can be found at local libraries, ordered online, and perhaps order through a local Barnes and Noble.
