Looking For Fulton Sheen Quote

Sorry this post probably doesn’t belong here but this is the board I usually post to. Been wracking my brain and can’t seem to find a certain quote by I think it is Fulton Sheen. Any way it is the one about not disliking Catholics as much as dislikiking what they Mistakenly believe about the Catholic Church
I know it is common and many use it in their Sig line but now that I want it I can’t find the exact quote. Please help.guys. Thanks in Advance Deana

There are different variations on the quote, apparently Archbishop Fulton Sheen said or wrote it a couple of times, but a full one appears in the “Preface to Radio Replies” by Fr. Rumble/Carty:

“There are not over a hundred people in the United States who hate the Catholic Church. There are millions, however, who hate what they wrongly believe to be the Catholic Church…As a matter of fact, if we Catholics believed all of the untruths and lies which were said against the Church, we probably would hate the Church a thousand times more than they do.” ARCHBISHOP FULTON J. SHEEN – preface to RADIO REPLIES

The ellipses… is where he gives several examples of “wrong beliefs” (like “adore statues”, that we put the Blessed Mother “on the same level as God”, that the Pope “is a Fascist”, etc).

I love this quote. It helps me explain to those who persecute the CC. And perhaps, just perhaps, one of them will delve deeply enough into the CC after our conversation that a conversion is made.
