Our parish’s video that was used in baptismal prep has gone missing, and I am planning on donating a new one to the church. Our new priest has no preference on a video, and the recommendation we recieved from the catechetical guy from the diocese was the video by Liguori “Your baby’s baptism”, and that is the video we used to have at the church, but I just wanted to see what other people have seen and liked (I wasn’t that impressed by the video when we went through baptismal prep last year) Another video I’ve heard about is **Preparing for Baptism with Bishop Donald W. Wuerl **but I am open to any suggestions. Also is there a good spanish language video anyone would suggest? Currently the church has the Ligouri video “El baptismo de su bebe”.

Thanks for your help!

We use a video which is part of a series called
What Catholics Believe about…in this case Baptism.
It is narrated by Fr.Michael Tueth but he uses many resources in the video. It is fairly clear, in a quiz form with the answers given immediately after the multiple choice, or truth or false questions are asked. Then an explanation is given by a resource to back the answer.

Here is an additional link with resources to use for baptism prep

I just got the Bishop Wuerl video for RCIA, it is excellent, I also have his Walk through the Mass, which is also an in depth teaching on the Eucharist. The Liguori videos are very good because many are in both Spanish and English, and they go along with the parent pamphlets for sacramental preparation. I just bought the parish a DVD player, because it will be cheaper in the long run since Spanish and English versions are usually on the same DVD, but you have to get 2 videotapes.
