My preschooler is very advanced for her age. So much so that, at 3.5 years, her teacher recommended I have her test for kindergarten. I politely declined. I think that even if she is smart enough, she is still 3.5 She thinks like a 3 year old, she socializes like a 3 year old, and she CERTAINLY has the emotions of a 3 year old (yikes
).
Now, I am looking for ideas for catechism for her here in the home. I have been doing my own thing with her, and I may stick with it, but I have been looking around to see if there is anything more structured. What I’ve found online are things like learning the sign of the cross or the Lord’s Prayer, but we’ve really got that down. We do a weekly bible story and I try to make a theme of it that is very child friendly (like Adam and Eve and listening to God and our parents) and we do different activities around that theme throughout the week, but I’m really running short on ideas.
Does anyone have suggestions? Even a curriculum, maybe?
