Well, figure out what you want in a parish. List the items across the top of a piece of paper or give each item a column in a spreadsheet. Go to your diocese’s web site and get all the parishes in your area that are within a certain distance. List the parishes you think you’d like in the first column of the spreadsheet, or down the piece of paper.
Go to Mass at the other parishes on the sheet. Ask questions about the parish from regulars, the office staff, etc. Check off those items that come the closest.
Pray about it, and from the list, see who is the “winner” or the closest to what you’re looking for. Then it’s just a matter of seeing the parish office manager and registering in that parish.
