I am interested in looking into the Third Order of the Dominicans.

I first heard about third orders about 4 years ago while in the Navy and I wasn’t all that interested. I started the path for the diaconate but it wasn’t my path. I recently came across the domincans, but I am not sure.

I am an CCD teacher, I have been an RCIA teacher. I am a 4th degree KofC. I am not sure what path God wants me to take. he keeps putting me in front of people, lots of people. It is usually on a short one to one basis.

So. I need a little guidance to find out what path this wretched sinner is supposed to be on.

thanks.

Oh yeah, i’m married. No priesthood.

*[Hopefully a third order domincan will post soon for you… in the meantime I found this site which might get you started]

3optidewater.org/index.php*

This shows one provience of what is officially called “Fraternities of St. Dominic”. [My own tradition is Franciscan ] I do know if you google Dominican and narrow it down by area you ought to be able to obtain more information…not to mention knowing the many helfpful people here… you ought to get slews of answers in no time. Blessings on Your Journey!

*To further the thought… many regular orders [such as the Dominicans and Franciscans and Carmelites] have orders created for lay people to belong to they are wonderful institutions to help one in their spiritual life and formation. Good luck as you investigate them and how, or if one might fit into your own life.

Blessings of Peace and All Good!*

I contacted the website and asked for information. I also found a local chapter and asked for information. Now I am just going to watch and follow the will of God.
