Does anybody have the current website for the Basillica of the Little Flower? I would love to go there, though I would like to know more about it, and the website linked to the Archdiocese of San Antonio is, how shall we say, offline.

I have been living in NE San Antonio since May and have had a very up and down time trying to find an orthodox parish. A couple that I have been to seem to be quite ‘clap happy’ and sing every part of the liturgy, raise hands high in the air, and chat during Mass. I have been to the minor basilica - Little Flower National Shrine and have found the Mass to be much more reverent. It is far away for me but I attend once a month as I am an aspirant with the Secular Discalced Carmelite community there.

We attend St Monica’s in Converse which is OK. My husband feels uncomfortable at times there but we don’t have the time or the gas to go to the National Shrine every week. I will look into Our Lady of the Atonement though… it may be a possibility.

Sorry I am not very helpful! We are used to gregorian chant and a very reverent Mass at our old parish and it has been an adjustment here.
Been to St. Monica’s. My wife’s Opie goes there. Can’t stand it myself. Do you know of the town of St. Hedwig? It’s just outside of SA, there’s a parish there, Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Father Zadora is all right, and the parish is pretty orthodox.

I have been there while visiting my wife’s family. I am not a fan of the NO, but it’s done pretty well there. There’s even incense at times…

I just spoke with someone at the Atonement school and am very impressed with her description of both the school and the church. They actually have nuns at the school:clapping: !! I am definitely putting this one on my must attend Mass list when I get there. I have a house right around the corner from St Monica’s and went there once when I lived there before. Yes, I was a holiday Catholic at one time. Because of that I never get upset when one of the holiday Catholics take my regular seat at Christmas and Easter. Anyway, I was underimpressed with it then and I would probably like it even less now. Thanks agian to all who gave suggestions. Hopefully our paths will cross when I get down there!
