I may not be able to meet you guys in person or talk with you audibly, but I look forward to meeting you guys in Heaven.

You too. Just not for a while I hope 😃 One of my biggest issues that I have, is I don’t miss people at all. I might never see them again on earth, but I don’t miss them. The only reason I can come up with is that I’ll see most of the people in Heaven, and then we could be together forever 👍
 
you think they will give us CAF t-shirts or something so we recognize each other? should we set up a secret handshake now so we will be ready?

Fine with me, but I will be taking a prolonged detour through Purgatory. Prayers welcomed:signofcross:
 
hahaha. nice posts. i know that i deserve to go through purgatory, but i hope not. the same for all you guys here. after all, God gives us the graces necessary to avoid purgatory, so why not?

A priest once said that to me on his last day at our parish. At first I was quite taken aback, and then I realized it was probably true, It’s not what folks usually say when departing.

Odds were he was going to another part of the country, and we would probably not ever meet again in this life time (plus I’m not getting any younger). It’s quite sobbering and also reassuring. It made the sadness of his leaving a lot easier to take.

There are so many folks I want to see in Heaven, but as someone else said, just not yet.

It’s like the old saying, are you willing to put your money where your mouth is?

It’s often easy to say we believe in heaven, but we don’t want to be put to the test today, right!😉
 
My prayers have always been answered. Personally I believe everybody I have met in life is going to be with me in heaven.
 
Hey you guys just gave me a great idea… next year when a bunch of us go to the March for Life… maybe we can have CAF hats or scarves or something (outerwear because it is January in DC). Actually, I think the group I am going with will do scarves so we can find each other afterwards…

That’s a great idea! I’ll be watching for you all on EWTN’s Life on the Rock, they always cover that event!

Isn’t it sinful to presume you’ll be going to heaven? I realize the light-hearted tone of this thread, but still…
