Of course the world wouldn’t have a problem with it. Sodomy is greatly encouraged by the secular world these days as a heroic virtue.Would you have a problem if the prospector character was propositioning He-Man twins?
I would, for the same reason as for the Barbie twins.Would you have a problem if the prospector character was propositioning He-Man twins?
In light of the me-too-harvey-weinstein-casting-couch type of things, the joke sort of falls flat at present. What exactly is wrong with that scene?
No spoilers. I haven’t seen that one yet. I’ll wait until it comes out on video.I sort of wish they would delete the end of Toy Story 4. I’m going to pretend it doesn’t exist and it’s Woody’s dream. He and Buzz can be in Andy’s apartment on a shelf, safe and sound.
I was channel surfing a few nights ago and came across the end of the film as the ‘bloopers’ were being played. I thought ‘Neat…bloopers in a cartoon…this might be good’. Although they weren’t. Didn’t really work for me. But when the Stinky Pete part came on I was thinking - hang on…this type of behaviour might have been good for a laugh a few years ago, but it’s making fun of men using powerful positions to persuade young women into giving sexual favours.I thought it was funny.
Oh well
I think you might be. It’s making a joke of the way that people in power can misuse it.Except that the Stinky Pete character had no power. He was a wash out of a toy that no one ever even bought.
As opposed to Barbie which is super popular.
So the humor is more that his ego is just that big as he’s macking on characters he’s never really have a chance with.
Or I might be totally misreading the whole thing
