John 5:6-9

OK, so in this passage, God Himself declares that this person is to die for breaking the Sabbath.32 While the Israelites were in the wilderness, a man was discovered gathering wood on the sabbath day. 33 Those who caught him at it brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole community. 34 But they put him in custody, for there was no clear decision* as to what should be done with him. 35** Then the LORD said to Moses: This man shall be put to death**; let the whole community stone him outside the camp.
36 So the whole community led him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
John 5:6-9
6 When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had been ill for a long time, he said to him, “Do you want to be well?” 7 The sick man answered him, “Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; while I am on my way, someone else gets down there before me.” 8 Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your mat, and walk.” 9 Immediately the man became well, took up his mat, and walked.
Here, the Lord encourages someone to break the Sabbath law.Now that day was a sabbath.
