I can’t find them easily, but look for where he says he is the I AM.

I start to doubt whether Jesus is Son of God, or he is just a Prophet of Israel.
I hope some of you can help me answer these question:
  1. In which Gospel or Letter, Jesus have ever said: “I am God” ?
Thomas doubted…until this point…

John 20:27-29

27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing.”

28 Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”

29 Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.”

(Jesus didn’t correct him…look at what Jesus says…)

God bless you,

Faith is a gift from God. The fact that you are searching for answers to strengthen or shore up your faith is part of the process. The fullness of the gift can take a lifetime to unfold.

It seems that reading the Bible has led to some confusion. In earlier days the faithful were even discouraged from reading the Bible, leaving to the Church to decipher the meaning from the Bible necessary for salvation.

To strengthen your Catholic faith I would find out when the RCIA classes are held at your local parish. Attend them and even discuss with your catechist passages from the Bible.

Also remember, faith includes trust without proof. Sometimes details and facts can disturb or de-rail our faith. Concentrate on the core of our faith and let secondary details subside in importance.

There are 12 disciples of Jesus and there should be 12 Gospels in our Holy Bible, but we only have Gospel According to Matthew, Mark, John and Luke.

Where is the 8 Gospels? Example: Gospel according to Peter, Judas and…
Hi Artemus !!

I too had many questions. Getting the answers made me even MORE Catholic. So keep the faith. Jesus founded only one church which is visible, authoritative, and still here today. KEEP READING THAT BIBLE!! 🙂

Please note that there is only 1 gospel.
We have four accounts of that gospel in our new testaments.
Realize that all four accounts are anonymous and we rely on Catholic Tradition to know the authors.
Only two of these gospel accounts are from the 12 apostles (Matthew, John).
Mark was a disciple of Peter’s.
Luke was a student of Paul’s. (Luke also wrote the Acts of the Apostles)

It’s worth noting that there were other accounts of the gospel that didn’t make it into the new testament such as the Gospel according to Thomas (an apostle, but was likely not written by Thomas, but his name was forged).

Remember … Jesus didn’t send them into the world and tell them ‘GO! Write down all that I have told you.’ … He told them to preach.

Cheers, my friend.
Keep reading and discovering your faith!!

All 4 Gospels have Jesus affirming his Divinity before the Sanhedrin after they arrest him in the Garden. Check out John 18:5-8. Jesus clearly identifies himself as God.

He also does this in John 4:26.

Can delete this thread?

Quite shame to see this…LoL

Please delete this thread.
There is no ‘shame’ in asking. Catholics have as much questions as non-Catholics or believers in Christ. That is one of the reasons The Church was PLACED here on earth!

Never fear to ask Her and pray so that you will not only know the answers you seek, but are prepared to offer one to those who come asking you for the faith and hope that is within you.

God Bless

First, is the Bible divinely inspired or not?

Assuming you answered, “Yes”, then please comment on the following God-breathed verse:

“we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,” (Titus 2:13)

If you answered, “No”, then we have other issues to discuss besides the divinity of Jesus.

It is easy to lose faith, but you need to put your trust in God. He will show you right from wrong and how to avoid temptation from the devil. It seems you have given into some temptation, we are here for you understand your problems

Nowhere. Why ?

  1. Jesus seems to be “ordinary man” read : Matthew 26:39

He was - so why is that surprising ? He would be useless & irrelevant if He were God & not man.

  1. Yudas @ Judas Iskariot, is he a betrayer? or is he doing his job to fulfilled the Prophecies?
  2. Moses are sent to save Jews from Egypt. Are Jesus sent to save Israel from Pontius Pilate? read Matthew 15:31
  3. Christianity existed before Jesus Christ, is this mean Jesus is just a Prophet in Christianity?

Explain, please ? (No, He is not.)

A have a lot of question waiting to be answer…I was a Catholic since I was born…but I’ve start losing my faith when I read The Bible again and again.

Please Help

People lose faith for all sorts of reasons - that’s life.
