I am at a lost. My dad asked me to xerox an important receipt and take good care of some important keys until we got home from the mall.

When I got home, I immediately placed it in a brown envelope and as far as I can remember, when we were already in the house, I asked my dad if one xerox copy of the recipt was enough and showed him the actual receipt and the keys inside the small brown envelope. I thought I then gave it to my mother.

Right after that, there was a fight between my sister and her pre-teenage son who did not want to study for his final exam. My sister and her son recently moved back to the house after she broke off with her boyfriend who is the father of her child. She now wants to be a good Catholic and follow the right path. The new circumstances hit my nephew very hard.

In this fight, I tried to be an arbiter…and everything went very very fast. I even ran out of the house trying to follow my nephew who went out in a huff. It was night and I was so worried. As far as I can remember I did not have that envelope with me already.

Then the next day, a thought suddenly entered my mind…“Where are the keys?”

I then went up the stairs and asked my mom…I gave you the keys and the receipts right?

My mom and dad cannot recall me ever showing them the envelope and receipts, much less giving it to them! I was shocked! Because I know 100% that I brought it home. I was very conscious of it at the mall.

I looked all over the house. Its not there! If it was just misplaced, we would have found it by now…but we haven’t!

I think that my parents think that I really did not bring it home and lost it in the mall. I really didn’t leave it there! There is not one iota of doubt that I brought it home.

I really dont’ understand what is happening. I have been feeling sad with what has happened. I don’t know if this is the work of the evil one to make me feel bad.

Anyone who reads this, would you please, please…help me pray to find those important keys and receipt.

Thank you very much.

🙂

I don’t think it’s the evil one, but the result of being stressed out by a family situation and by your efforts to make peace and to find your nephew.
I hope I pray that someone in the household finds the keys and the recept…but we can all have “senior moments” if we’re stressed. No doubt everyone was distracted by the battle between your sister and your nephew, but also due the upheaval in your sister’s life and the change in the household.

Please God you will, one of your family, find the missing envelope and keys
but **one good thing that has come out of this **is that you’ve let us know that your family needs prayer at this time. Your sister and her son are going through turmoil, and the dynamic in the house is altered by their coming to live with your parents and you.

I’ll keep you and your family in my prayers.
Warm regards, Trishie

Try to retrace your steps from the time you got home. I know there was turmoil at the time, but try. It might sound stupid but I once found my car keys in the freezer after frantically searching the house. I had set them there when getting ice out after getting home from work.

At Christmas time, I KNEW I had purchased a certain gift for my nephew. When it came time to wrap all the presents, I could not find it. I searched high and low. I finally admitted I must have thrown it out accidentally and went out to purchase something else. Later, I sent my son into the basement to retrieve something from the big chest freezer for dinner.

Guess what else he found in a grocery bag? Yep, the toy for my nephew! (Now I don’t have to buy anything else for his birthday, since it’s been well preserved in the freezer!)

ill pray for you, but dont feel too bad, things like that happen to me all the time. today at school i parked turned of my car took the keys from the ignition and smoked my pipe. left the car and went to classes for the day. i got back to me car hours later and discovered my keys were not in my pocket. knowing that i didnt take them out anywhere during the day i flipped out. i stood up to think and i looked down and there were my keys sitting in the driver side seat. it seems they never made it to my pocket to begin with. youll find those things, i have faith in you.🙂

I know exactly how you feel because something similar happened to me this week-end, I lost some important keys that belonged to my father but eventually I found them in his car, they fell from my purse while I was driving. I’m going to pray for you, I’m positive that you’ll find the keys and the receipt.

Hi everyone!

Thank you very much for your kind help. I still haven’t found the keys and receipt yet. I am praying that it will turn out somewhere in the house soon. I am very grateful for your prayers for the lost articles, but most especially for my family.

Practically everyone in my family is having a lot of “senior moments” these days. I guess, its because it is because our new and unfamiliar situation that my sister and her son, who we all love dearly, are back home after so many years.

Senior moments like…mom…lost some payment made to her, my sister lost a bag of expensive belts and for weeks everyone became suspect to my sister until she eventually found it it the big, big pile of stuffs she brought in with her. It has been stressful and a roller coaster ride of emotions for all of us in the family.

I know that God takes care of us. My parents, though not perfect, are very prayerful. One time,my dad left the garage wide open the whole night. As there was no door seprating it from the main house, a robber could have entered easily while we were all asleep. There are some drug addicts and people with questionable characters known to lurk in our area as it is crowded with houses and there is a nearbly squatters area. Truth is, some bad elements had tried to enter our house (unsuccessfully) a few times before. Yet, that day, when it would have been so easy for them to enter without any hastle…nothing happened! We were all kept safe.I felt that God sent angels to protect us that day.

Hopefully, soon I will find the lost items. Please continue to help me pray for my family and for me to find these lost things.

Thank you all for your help. 🙂

I want to thank everyone who answered this prayer request.

The keys and receipts has been found! 😃

It was weird…a few days ago, dad found the envelope with the xerox but no keys and original receipts inside in a place I thought I had already looked in.

I was very perplexed because as far as I can remember everything was in that envelope. My parents continued to pray for it. Honestly, I’ve almost given up because I had run out of ideas where to look. Mom, dad and my sister were all helping, but no one could find it.

The yesterday, a few days before the one month what I believe is the grace period for reporting problems with purchased items at the store, it suddenly fell off from nowhere (our housekeeper said, from the ceiling! -which is impossible) at her foot, as if someone threw it. What timing!

God is really good! Thanks everyone for helping me pray for this.

🙂
