Dear all I just received my exam and I fail… I prayed so hard that God help me with the result… But he didn’t… I can’t help but to blame God why he didn’t help me… And I’m start to lose my faith… I’m going to retake in 10 days time… But I’m stil at lost spiritually had no mood To study…

Pls help…
He may want you to study harder. What about me? I suffer from an incurable disease that even God can’t heal…or won’t. I have been suffering since I was 10. That’s a total of 35 years now, and I pray for help every day. I guess now, is not the time. I am sure on your next exam you will do fine.

Dear Blessedchild,

I remember a friend of mine during law school days. We were all freshmen, fresh college graduates, aiming to get a law degree and be a lawyer. This friend of mine was a cum laude when she graduted from college. After we took the Midterm exams, we were surprised to know that only 2 people passed our Criminal Law midterm exam. My cum laude friend failed big time. That was the first time she ever failed a test and she cried about it. It was very heartbreaking. I would know because that’s also the first time I ever failed an exam miserably despite studying very hard and I mean** VERY HARD**:crying: But you know what, after crying it all out, she wiped her tears and she got even more determined to pass every exam. After falling, she stood up and never did she fail any exam ever again. What’s the point in all this? I guess its a cliche but it doesn’t matter how many times you failed. What matters is how many times you got up.

Don’t lose your faith because of a failed exam. Life has a lot of challenges and problems up ahead and if you lose your faith just because you got a failing grade, this would only show weakness of faith and character.:console: Ask yourself first, did you really study that hard or you studied but didn’t give it all you’ve got because you rely on God to help you? I also had in the same class a pastor classmate who wants to be a lawyer. He always say the Lord will provide during exams but since he’s not able to study the way law students should study, he failed and he was out the next semester.

I hope my story gives you more inspiration to study hard. There’s a verse in the Psalms, I just don’t know the exact Chapter and Verse that says: **Men stumble and fall on their own and then blame God for it. **We have been giving minds to sharpen and the capacity to learn so that is what we must do. Sharpen our minds through diligent study and learn from our mistakes for only thru the commission of specific mistakes we specifically learn the specific lesson that needs to be learned.

Good luck on your retake! Don’t lose hope! Pray hard, study hard and ask the grace to recognize and accept the challenges, successes and failures that come your way for God’s glory. God Bless!šŸ™‚

You’ve had so many good replies, I don’t know it I can add anything. I was thinking of a young boy learning how to ride a 2 wheeler. Dad holds on to the seat to help steady but at some point he has to let go. He knows there’s going to be some hard landings and scrapes, but he knows the awesome smile that will result when son gets it down and has the new freedom of riding a bike!

We all have hard landings and scrapes through our whole life. I know I’ve felt like punching God our Father for letting me go and taking a hard landing. There’s a certain strength required to say Jesus, I trust in You! especially when things don’t go well for us. Ask God for that grace to say I trust in You, in Your love for me! That really is the muscles you are working on, and will have to work on all your life.

God bless you and wishing you well.

Prayers aren’t magic, nor does God perform as we want, but as HE wants.

It may be HIS desire that you experience this in order to be a stronger and better person.

You only fail when you quit!

I’ll pray for your success.

Thank you once again and pls pray for me… Bcz I get easily distracted and would quit halfway… Pls pls pray for me…

I am an older man who studied at university and gained 2 degree, where others told me I wouldent be able to pass because i can’t spell. For example one day I will spell a word one way and the next Ispell it another I don’t know why but thats the way I am.
I didn’t think of what they were teling me I carried on. It was very hard and I did what I think you should do.
1you cant blame God if you don’t pass.
2 Ask god for someone to help.
3 when someone comes up to you and askes you how you are going tell them you are troubled, even go to the teacher (as I did) and tell them you need help.
4Tell them you don’t understand could they explain to you.

5Thank God for the help.

God bless

Our prayers are with you.

Faith is like anything. You need to work it. Faith does not mean everything will always go right. In fact, faith does not mean you will always succeed, faith only helps comfort you when you don’t. Do not get into the habit as a youngster to blame God whenever something bad happens.

Lean on Him and He will support you when the good happens and comfort you when the bad happens.

Peace

Hi, Chemoangel,

OK, ā€œWhat about youā€? When you say that, ā€œā€¦even God can’t heal…or won’tā€ are you in danger of losing your Faith, too? Last Sunday’s Gospel (Mark 1:40) tells of the plight of this leper whose presence moved Christ to pity. God has a plan for everyone - and suffering and anxiety and disappointment are all part of that plan - but, there is much more… if we but only look.

With 35 years of experience with a painful and incurable disease, I am guessing you have heard it all by now. Actions always speak louder than words - and those special Friends of God - the saints had many trials to bear on their road to Heaven. Here is link you may find helpful: catholic.org/saints/

I used to work on an adult oncology unit. If there is something I may be help you with, just send me a PM.

God bless

Hi all anyway it’s valentine’s day here… I wish all of you could experience the love of God from today’s mass… For couple congrats… Stay in love and stay faithful… For single out there… Hmmmm… Stay happy and sweet… No trololoing LOL thanks all for the words… I’m a lil happier and cheered up…and gotten many loves from u allā€¦šŸ™‚

Speaking from my experience, the best tests are the ones where I had enough sleep the
night before. The thoughts just flowed.

Just a thought.

You haven’t failed until you quit trying! (that’s the sort of thing I say where my daughter does this  ) But I am right, of course. 😃

This is our job on earth …to be the good Samariton to others.

I did a course on Radio Tech some time ago.I had NO maths, science or physics or algebra. There were ten on the course, we had nine books I was left out for three weeks because noone would share with me.
Icried out to the Lord and he heard me.

1 I live in New Zealand, I received a phone call from a person in the church(Im cutting this short, (unless someone wants to hear the whole incredible story), The friend in the church had a neiphew come over from Scotland, he wanted a guitar which I JUST HAPPENED TO HAVE, he came around saw my maths, science and technical info on my wall. He JUST HAPPENED TO BE a blues guitarist as I am, HE JUST HAPPENED TO BE a "math-matician and HE JUST HAPPENED TO BE a ā€œradio technicianā€. We joined a prayer group together, helped others. He taught me all I never knew, and just before my last exames 9months latter, he couldn’t get a job in NZ, so he had to go back to Scotland. What does this tell you.

Hi, Littleone,

This sounds like another inspiring story… šŸ™‚

But, wait a minute NZ is just not that big … there just can’t be an over-supply of blues guitarists! 😃 You will note that there probably is no market for blues bag-pipers! 😃 He was probably fleeing Scotland to hear some good music!

Glad he was able to help you while he was here.

God bless

Hi Tom, sure NZ is a little place, I have however a friend who was in the top ten guitarits in the world in his hay days, me…I just love blues.
Maybe read the other thread, ā€œWhen all seems to go wrong NEVER give upā€
it may have interest to you. I decided to write it since others gained some assistance from it.

While you are working on your exams, you might also work on your faith.
Faith also requires work.
Get to know the Scriptures better, read what Jesus said about persistence in prayer and asking for help. And know that God wants you to succeed, he wants you to develop your talents. He’s routing for you, but he won’t do all the work for you. We have to do our share.
The Psalms are good too: Sometimes when you don’t know how to pray you can use the words of the psalmist, he really cried out to God in times of trouble.

ā€œHear my cry, O God; Give heed to my prayer. **From the end of the earth **I call to you.ā€

It may be an exageration in space, **but not in feeling **when you are desperate.

ā€œDeliver me from my enemies (bad exam questions), O God.ā€

You have to feed your faith and go deeper. When things don’t go right, that’s when you need faith the most, and that is precisely when you musn’t give up.
Good luck with your exams. I will say a prayer for you today.

Hi, Littleone,

What ā€˜other thread’? Can you send me a link?

Thanks

I know it’s hard to keep the faith in these times but I would just like to tell you I have thought I was losing the faith as well many times in the past. One time I was so close to giving into the temptation, I honestly thought it was gone. I prayed with all my heart to be delivered from the temptation and thank God my faith radically improved within a day of that dreadful experience. I just want to tell you that GOD DOES EXIST, nothing can change my personal conviction. I believe a new tactic that the Devil is using against the faithful is Atheism, now more than ever this is a rising temptation for this generation of Catholics. Stay strong the Lord is always with you. Pray to our blessed Mother. Pray to the saints, pray to be delivered from, this temptation. Keep close to the sacraments. Read the lives of the saints, the Bible, and other spiritual books to nourish the faith. May God Bless you my friend in Christ!šŸ‘

Hi, Seanom,

Continue to pray - the Devil is quite serious about getting as many souls as he can.

And, in your enthusiasm for praying - pray for all of us on this thread! šŸ™‚

God bless
