Loss of Faith = Work of Satan?

I have always wondered…is a loss of faith the work of Satan? Surely, Satan doesn’t want us to have anything to do with God, so is someone’s loss of faith the workings of Satan?

He can influence us and TRY to make us lose our faith, but the choice is up to us. Temptation to loss of faith can be his work, assuming that we are losing faith in the Catholic and not another religion. Conversion to/toward Catholicism(which involves both an initial loss and later transfer of faith) is the work of God. So it depends on what you’re losing faith in.
