I misplaced a bottle of holy water. I think it may have fallen under the bed but I can’t find it. Is it a sin not to look for it and let it be wherever it is?
I would guess you should look within reason, take a few minutes to check likely places, purse, car seat, coat pocket, behind dresser, etc. At least make some effort to glance around. That seems responsible. St. Anthony will probably point it out to you.
It would seem untidy to just leave things where they fall under the bed or just “wherever”.
Practical reasons alone would indicate picking up anything that may fall from the bed.
A good question is why you procured the holy water and what you understand holy water is, as opposed to ordinary bottled water, and that should answer your query as to whether or not it is worth searching for.
