Lost in love

Hi everyone i have a situation where eight months i lost my job because i went tipsy to work. It was the one and only time i’ve ever done that but that is all it took. Eventhough you get married for better or worse. My wife then and there told me she didn’t love me no more and this is unforgiveable. I been faithful and a good man besides that day to her for 20 years and i know i messed up, but i am now employed as a real estate appraiser and due well but she still cannot forgive me. Is it that she is very upset at me or can someone just fall out of love that fast.

Your wife is very scared and angry I guess. Her feelings may be swamped by those feelings. She may have other worries, and it is scary if your spouse has any drinking problem, and it could appear that if you were tipsy on the way to work that you were drinking too early in the day? I don’t know the situation, but that’s not a good sign. A wife’s protectiveness of the security of her children is very radical.

I pray you will find work again quickly. I ask God to guide and lead you in finding work and in helping quietly to recover your relationship;
and that if there are any issues that need special care, God will help you with that.

I know you’re scared on two levels, regarding finding employment;, and regarding your marriage.I ask the Angels of God to fill your house,

May God help you to determinedly seek and obtain another job very soon.
 
Thank you trishie i am working all ready but i’ll take all the prayers i can get and thank yor for the prayers to fill my house with angels that is very nice and i will let them guide me. I am not a violent man i am an ex air force policeman and special ed teacher i have just been lost since my parents died and sometimes i turned to alcohol in a wrong manner but i have stopped and i just want the miracle in my life back my wife. My kids love me dearly 16 and 13.

Praying that your wife will forgive you and get passed her difficulty with what happened. May you both keep working on your relationship together and grow in true sacrificial agape love. May your wife keep her love for you strong and faithful, even though she may have feelings of not being in love with you anymore. May you find solace in prayer, in receiving Jesus in the sacraments, and in remaining faithful to your wife despite her feelings. Amen.
