Lost my best friend, devastated

I’ve had to end a friendship last week and another friend laid a bombshell on me that he can’t talk to me anymore. He was easier to talk to than my own parents and I’ve never felt more loved by anyone else. I’m alone again and in tears.

One of the Lenten Disciplines:

**Let go…**Don’t cling so tightly to things and people that are not good for you. Learn to let go of a dysfunctional friendship or toxic work environment.

Let God…**Remember that sometimes life is an unpredictable adventure. When your life’s journey hits a rough place and the way forward isn’t clear, turn it over to God. This is what Jesus did in his time of crisis: “Father, not my will but yours be done” (Luke 22:42). This approach is not a surrender but a release based on confidence that divine wisdom is supporting and surrounding you.

Praying for your peace of mind.
 
You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls, and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world. O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us.
