Lost soul needs a prayer

In my 41 years of life I have never felt so lost or so alone. I had a 13 year relationship abruptly end 2 months ago. I lost my job almost a year ago and have not been able to find work since. I now find myself losing money quickly, my ex is never around since finding someone new and I sit at home realizing I have very little to fall back on. I’ve started praying more and more for guidance and help but to be honest, I haven’t felt anything is coming from these prayers. I have no family and no friends so I turn to this board occasionally for a prayer and just to know others out there might think of me…even for one moment.

Thanks for listening and for any prayers you can offer…

I heard something once and while reading your post it instantly came to my mind: Sometimes God takes things out of our hands so that they may be empty and receive something better. I hope you find your something better. God bless.

I will certainly listen and pray for you John. Sounds like a lot of hard knocks lately. Please keep praying and keep in touch with us out here…God Bless…

I ask God to help you to heal and have the confidence and proactivity and success in turning your life around but also hopefully to find someone who loves you to share your life.
I ask Him to help you welcome the Sacraments of the Mass and confession to help to clear and strengthen you towards a new future and new hope.

I just focus on praying and getting through each day. I got through last night…I’m about through today. I know the Lord is beside me (as well as my mother who passed away many years ago). Thank you all for such kind words. I have re-read them several times throughout the day to remind myself that though I’m all alone here…I am not alone in this world. I must struggle to let the door close on a relationship and face the unknown of the future…but I have no choice so I will learn.

Dear Jesus please help John in his lost long-term relationship.
Please give him healing and help him to find someone to share life and the Sacraments with in mutual happiness and growth.
Please help him heal with confidence and proactivity and success in giving his life a new beginning and new work.

Lord, please, bring relief to the suffering of John. He has been through so much recently, Lord, please help him to find employment, first of all, so that he may feel back on his feet. Help remind him, Lord, that You are with him even in his most difficult of times, and help him to offer up what sufferings you may continue to ask him to undergo. Through Jesus Christ, Our Lord, I pray. Amen.
