Lost tribes

Does the Catholic church have an official doctrine on what happened to the lost tribes of Isreal?
One theory I heard is that the asyrians relocated them to the northern part of thier empire. They eventually moved north and were absorbed into the scythians.

Of course not. The *Jewish *church does not even have any such doctrine. If the Jews themselves have no idea what happened to the bulk of their own tribes, why should the Catholics know (or even care)?

Of course, Armstrong claims to know, and builds an entire theology around it (hint - if you are American, you are one of the “lost tribes” - ha, ha, ha).
