I feel like a bit of a boob for not being able to find this on-line. I am looking for the little booklet guide for the LOTH for this year. DW got me a nice 4 volume set but I need the booklet to know what’s what.

When I search on line for it I keep getting leather bound prayer books for like 40 bucks. That’s not it, I just need the little paper back 2 dollar jobby.

Do you know where I can get one? (Going to the book store in my Church is difficult due to scheduling and their hours of operation). And if it’s a site that also sells single decade rosary’s well that’s just a bonus!

Yeah when I was looking at the supplement and clicking around I found the guide and ordered it. And I made sure not to get the large print guide which has a different pagination than the regular print one.

JimR - those were good sites you listed. I had to play with the URLs a little bit to get to where I needed to go, but very good. They are book marked now - thanks.
 
For those who might be looking for one, the guide can be found sometimes in local religious supply stores. Very difficult to find one’s way around the LOTH without it! 😃

I kinda disagree, once you get used to it. The Ordinary tells us everything. Well, most everything.

Concur with [user]porthos11[/user]. A calendar and the Ordinary – What more do you need? I can’t remember the last time I had recourse to an Ordo, but it’s got to be more than 20 years.

Then again, I am a self-confessed Liturgical Calendar Nerd 🤓

It is very helpful to those who are new to the LOTH, and at some times of year when there are new feasts, transferred memorials, and other instances when it is not exactly straightforward. Not everyone has reached your high level of proficiency! 😉

Oh, I don’t begrudge anyone its use. Nor, do I mean particularly to toot my own horn. And of course anyone new to the discipline will find much of value in it!

But I disagree with the opinion that the books are somehow inherently difficult to use – *Once you understand them. *I mean: It’s not like they are arranged in some haphazard fashion, without regard to a logical order. 🙂

I’d agree…once you understand them. It took me about 2 years of on-and-off to get the gist of it.

Slow learner, I guess. 😃
