Just a question…is it ok to pray the LOTH of the hours or read from it during Adoration or when you are praying in front of the tabernacle? I’m trying to spend at least an hour or more each day with our Lord in either Adoration or in front of the tabernacle and though this would be good to bring with me if it is acceptable. Thanks!

Of course it’s fine! You can pray whatever you like during adoration 🙂

I was thinking that, but wanted to make sure. I’m always so distracted during the LOTH (plus I don’t have the exact way to do it down pat yet). I thought that if I did it during adoration or while visiting Jesus in the tabernacle I might be able to concentrate better with his help!

Here’s a suggestion for better concentration – but DON’T do it during adoration (OK for private recitation). Read a few verses at a time, silently first to understand what is being said, then re-read it out loud with emotion (gusto, pleading, thanks, etc) as if God were sitting right in front of you, and LOTH is a love poem you are reciting to him.

IMHO.

Oh no I would never do that during Adoration but it is a great idea. As long as my husband doesn’t start to think I crazy and I scar the cats! 😛 😛

Sounds lovely 🙂

In praying any prayer you can and should always mouth or perhaps whisper very softly the words to yourself - even if you can’t say them out loud. It’s a great way of keeping focused.

of course, tha tis one of the best times and places. also a great time and place for lectio divina.
