In my quest for “an easier, softer” way to do the LOTH, I have subscribed to the service of ebreviary.com for one year. I note that they give only one daytime prayer, not three, but everything else seems to be complete.

Of course, the bad news is that this means my prayers will be done seated at the computer, not kneeling on my kneeler. The good news is that Fluffy will be able to join in, sitting on my lap, and adding her purrs to the psalms. I’m sure St. Francis would approve:D

I’ll try this service for one year until I can do the LOTH without this kind of help. But this DOES get me started:thumbsup:

have to confess I do the same thing many days with universalis. my homepage is catholicexchange.com, so I start with their link to the daily Mass readings, and LOTH. Since it is never a sure thing I will get my prayer time in early, it is always a sure thing I will head to the computer pretty quick so it keeps me honest.

Go with the flow…what works for one, works for one and is a gift. “In my Father’s House there are many mansions. I go to prepare a place for you”. One of the great features of the apostles were that they had the diversity that they did and then after Pentecost that diversity absolutely exploded and diversity continues to mark Christians…may we strive for unity in that diversity. Nature too is wondrous in diversity…for example, no two colours green are exactly the same. No two leaves precisely the same appearance nor colour. No two roses precisely the same…etc. etc. You won’t find two leaves arguing over which is the better, more real, more true, leaf!..😃 We humans are a part of nature although we can spend an aweful lot of time and energy either trying to be like the neighbour or make the neighbour be like us…futility!

I am so happy for Fluffy, who can join in prayer time. Quite often my puppy and little cat join me, asleep at my feet. The wondrous thing to me about the animal kingdom is that their life expression is similar to ours and yet they cannot sin - perfect contemplatives praising God with every movement. I am OFF TOPIC AGAIN:o

May The Lord bless and instruct us as we strive to make the LOTH a part of our daily lives…in diversified ways (I had to get that in!😃 )…

Blessings…regards…Barb:)

As a Franciscin 1221 Penitent, I can assure you that cats and dogs are NEVER “off topic”, at least to me:thumbsup:

Franciscan 1221 Penitents is a great and important vocation! Congratulations. I see too that you are marked by Franciscan gentleness and Peace also - and thus thank you for the accepting of my (to some perhaps) off topic comments:thumbsup: …the whole of nature including the animal kingdom and we humans also are never an off topic subject with me either - and I rather think that a thread should be lead by The Holy Spirit rather than human rules and regulations, fixations on human concepts of orderliness and tidiness - whatever…woops, and I am off topic (and rebellious) yet again:D
