Galatians 5: 6 …but faith which worketh by love.

In this style of English, it seems to say what I thought. Faith gets it energy from love.

You are correct this is in the notes of the NAB

“Faith working through love” or “faith energized by love.”

THANKS

Love and faith are needed for righteousness!!

Ephesians 6: 10 Finally, draw your strength from the Lord and from his mighty power. 11 Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens. 13 Therefore, put on the armor of God, that you may be able to resist on the evil day and, having done everything, to hold your ground. 14 So stand fast with your loins girded in truth, clothed with righteousness as a breastplate, 15 and your feet shod in readiness for the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances, hold faith as a shield, to quench all (the) flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 With all prayer and supplication, pray at every opportunity in the Spirit.

I Thessalonians 5: 8 But since we are of the day, let us be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love and the helmet that is hope for salvation.
I noticed this a while back, too. I think it’s pretty interesting. Good observation!

I would love to see a concise summary of justification, if you have the time!!!

Also, I would like to know your judgment on the following.

When the new person does good.

Then the new person remains in God’s love.

It is not us but God’s gift to us, that is, the new person and the gifts of love and faith and hope.

We are not only saved by God’s grace, but it is maintained by God’s grace–the new person.

If I have understood, Abraham and Moses were graced by friendship and knowledge and love of God.

Now we are graced by the new person and love and faith, hope, knowledge and obedience. Now we are adopted children that partake of the Divine Nature. The New Person is the adopted person.

In your judgement, is that sound?
Thus all is grace.
