Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Here are words from St. Faustina’s Diary, well worth pondering:
  1. Love is a mystery that transforms everything it touches into things beautiful and pleasing to God. The Love of God makes a soul free. She is like a queen, she knows no slavish compulsion: she sets about everything with great freedom of soul, because the love which dwells in her incites her to action. Everything that surrounds her makes her know that only God Himself is worthy of her love. A soul in love with God and immersed in Him approaches her duties with the same dispositions as she does Holy Communion and carries out the simplest tasks with great care, under the loving gaze of God. She is not troubled if, after some time, something turns out to be less successful. She remains calm because at the time of the action she had done what was in her power. When it happens that the living presence of God which she enjoys almost constantly, leaves her, she then tries to continue living in lively faith. Her soul understands that there are periods of rest and periods of battle. Through her will, she is always with God. Her soul like a knight, is well trained in battle; from afar it sees where the foe is hiding and is ready for battle. She knows she is not alone – God is her strength.
Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your Faithful. Kindle in us the Fire of Your Love.
Mary, Mother of the Church, lend us your heart.

Dear petra,

Thanks for your reply. I trust you were as blessed by this humble saint’s words as I was. Please let us pray for one another, for the Church and the world – for ALL in need of God’s Mercy!

Jesus, I trust in You!
St. Faustina, pray for us.

St. Faustina is one of my special saints for this year and I’m blessed every time I read something more about her! That is why I thank you so much for teaching me her words… I tried to down load some of her work to my kindle but wasn’t successful yet…
Thanks again! Prayers for you, MariaChristi!

Dear petra,

Thanks for your reply and for your prayers. How very much I need the prayers of my brothers and sisters! How wisely Jesus taught us to pray : “Our Father …give us…” He taught us to include our brothers and sisters and not pray merely for ourselves.

I first read St. Faustina’s Diary many, many years ago, and have re-read parts of it many times. Since the Pooe proclaimed this a “Year of Mercy”, I resolved to read her Dairy from beginning to end, this year. and share it on the internet, slowly with attention and devotion.

God has blessed this humble saint with many graces and always when He gives any of us grace it is not meant “only” for ourselves but it is to enable us to share His Love with others. Mary our Mother is truly the Mother and Model of the Church in this regard for our Blessed Mother did simple things – daily prayer and work as all of us are called to do – but she did everything with Great love. 🙂

St. Faustina, pray for us on this First Friday of May, that we may learn to love God more.
Mary, my Queen and my Mother, help me to love and share Jesus as you did on earth.
Jesus, I trust in You!
