What does love feel like to you? What are the stories you have about the person you love? Just wondering why people feel the way they do and if it’s love or just something that’s new…

Hm. Deep!

Well I consider love to be really caring for someone’s well-being in general. Obviously this is not only referring to a person you are attracted too; this is a different kind of love (inclusive of the mentioned definition) and of which I have not yet experienced. 🙂

I wonder if I have ever known the feeling. Perhaps not. I have a vague idea and given my experience and plentiful reading done while people have actually been having relationships, I’d say I probably am not too far from it. I connect it with general care, but also with something emotional and something spiritual.

Connection, dedication, fondness. Respect is there, as the three mentioned before cannot really exist much without respect, but respect is more of a distinct matter (except it has to be there, as I have said).

**Dove c’e amore, c’e Dio! **

Where there is love there is God!

Peace,

Gail

Love is so much more (or less?) than just a feeling. Love is Action (esp when we don’t necessarily “feel” the love 😉 ) it’s esp Giving: For God so Loved the World that He GAVE His only Son

Relying only on feelings can be a bad idea in general. Feelings are fleeting and changing and unreliable.

To quote John Paul II:
“The greater the feeling of responsibility for the beloved, the more true love there is.”

I am in love, and I know that. But there have been some times in my life where I feel sooooo in love, like, this huge feeling comes over me and I can’t explain it, I just feel so much in love, and it’s a wonderful feeling! This happened once when I was dancing with my then girlfriend at a ball. It’s just an amazing experience…impossible to convey in words.

love means “I would die for you.” at least that is what I felt the first time I held each of my babies.

The greatest gift a lover can give his or her beloved is Heaven. Real love lives as Jesus would have us.

Peace,

Gail
