Hi everyone - because I have been considering the Catholic faith, I have been reading the catechism. It strikes me as being beautifully simple. There was a time when I thought the Catholic faith was just SO complex, and used to think, how on Earth did they get “all this” from the Gospels? But as I read the catechisms, its really is straightforward…

But as I read the catechisms, its really is straightforward…

“Ask and you shall receive. Seek and you shall find. Knock and it shall be opened to you.” The Holy Spirit is at work and helps you to understand things better than any of us can explain them to you. It is not surprising that you find reading the catechism “beautifully simple.”

It has also been described as one of the better Catholic Bible Study guides out there, with it’s vast amount of footnoting and references. Also a great guide to historical conciliar documents and ECFs.

I totally agree, and I’ve really enjoyed studying it too! It is a rare book, in that it manages to be both spiritually uplifting and deeply informative at the same time!
