You do NOT have free choice in a decision that involves a situation that means the lives of your family. You cannot have culpability. Even the Church teaches that. You are saying that the Church is somehow incorrect in the teachings of morality. Consent is not free and complete when an act is performed with a reduced degree of attention. Weakness is not a motive that can make a sin not mortal.
It is the Church, not I that teaches that mortal sin requires culpability, and culpability requires consent. It also teaches that one cannot consent under duress. This is why “shot gun” weddings are considered illicit and invalid.
