Funny, the bible hardly mentions Mary after her involvment with Christ’s ministry beginning. You would think that if she had such a HUGE impact on christianity and the first christians she would be mentioned a whole lot more.

For the most part protestants do disagree with calling her our mother.

I don’t particualarily believe that she can hear us because God is the only one I have been instructed to pray to. If I can just go to Him, why bother Mary while she enjoys her riches in Heaven?

Her womb didn’t create Christ.

I said she was broken and you took that to mean I was saying she was rotten. We are all broken in the sense that we struggle with sin. We don’t always succumb to every sin but we struggle with it. How can we produce good fruit if we are rotten?

It doesn’t state that she was assumed to Heaven yet you believe that…

Again, she admits that she needed a Savior.

Why would she need one when God had already saved her?

I like to think of it like this…on my way to purgatory, when I pass by the gates, I will run to Mary and give her a big hug and Jesus will love me for having loved His beloved mother.

Then a Muslim will pay his respects to her and honor her. She will love him too even though he denied her Son. Jesus will look kindly at him because if he’s in heaven, he must have done something right. Of course, He will love him for loving His mother as well as Catholic Christians do. Romans 2

So he and I will go do our time in Purgatory.

Behind comes the non-Catholic Christian that sees Mary as just a “mere” woman, as “broken”, as sinful. His eyes are like this :bigyikes: when he sees her next to Jesus. All of a sudden, “he believes!” in Mary. But he can’t take back what he said about Jesus’ Mommy. :tsktsk:

They know very well what they’ve been indoctrinated with (like those Christians who were indoctrinated to believe that Mary was “not” immaculately conceived or was not a consecrated virgin to The Lord for the rest of her life).

Some people just believe without doing their own investigating, never questioining what their told, following men.

Allah has no son:
