**Loving vs. Using
**
Loving is wanting and helping a person to be their very best,
Caring for their overall well-being and treating them dearest.
Using is interacting with a person for your own personal gain,
Abandoning them when it becomes too difficult or just a pain.
Lovers care deeply about others, sacrifice, and strive to inspire,
Consider how they feel, what they need and what they desire,
And truly wish for good things to happen for those they love;
Never counting the cost or leaving when push comes to shove.
Users care deeply about themselves, but will appear to be loving,
Helping those around them until it becomes way too demanding,
For they expect to be helped in return with all their desires met,
Weighing what they put in to what they get out, so they will profit.
For those involved with them, the difference becomes quite clear,
You warm up and feel good inside when the true lover comes near,
And cringe and wonder what hurt you will bear when comes the user
And when will the user be a kind friend and when will be an abuser.
Look at yourself and ask, “When am I a lover and when an abuser?”
“What can I do to make my love more honest and more pure?”
You can turn to Jesus Christ and ask for His love and His guidance,
Look at His life, His sacrifice for you, and grow in loving experience.
