Educate yourself on current research and nag your doc for a referral. Some of the hypothyroid support sites have informal lists of docs known to listen and treat based on symptoms (like a doc would for any other disorder). If your doc just ran a TSH level, he only tested for something that only applies in one of several causes of hypothyroid symptoms, and probably used the old test ranges that themselves had little to no scientific basis.I have almost all the symptoms, and I’ve known for awhile. The worst right now is chronic fatigue. I mentioned the thyroid possibility to my doctor, but the tests came back negative. Does anyone know how I can find a doctor who will look into this?
