Low self esteem = insult to God?

Let’s not confuse high self-esteem with a psychological defense mechanism which is a cover/over compensation for *low self esteem – *the correct terminmology for many bullies/abusers is gradiosity:

Yeap i’m aware of that, some people cover up their low self esteem and pain by being abusing and bullying others others just might be frustrated and confused and take it out on others.

But most of the bullies I’ve come accross are full or pride and power, hard to explain, I still remember the look in one of the bullies eyes like the whole “I’m cool your not”

heres something Psalm 34:18 “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves the crushed in spirit”

but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit,
to revive the spirit of the lowly
and to revive the heart of the contrite. (Isaiah 57:15 - Was that the one?)

That wasn’t the one I had in mind, I think it was “contrite spirit” not contrite heart lol
