Lucifer cast out to Earth or Hell?

Okay, we know the story about Lucifer being angel, being full of pride, than rebelling against God, and being kicked out of Heaven. But as to where he went is puzzling…

The Bible says in Revelation 12:9

“And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”

BUT THEN. The Bible says in 2 Peter 2:4

“For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;”

So where’d he go? Hell or Earth?

The word used in Peter was tartarus. Tartarus is the lowest region of the world, as far below earth as earth is from heaven. In revelation it is not saying he was cast to the earth like one who would fall from a plane and hit the surface, but ***into *** the Earth… where they believed Hell was. Remember they believed (and some fundamentalist today) that when people went to Hades they were actually going under ground into the fires of the earth.

Well not sure, but I think he is alive and doing well on earth here.

I think he is our hell on earth. So he is in both places.

Satan is the king of the earth now. However after the second coming when Jesus reigns on earth for 1000 years and satan will be cast in hell for that same 1,000 years. I’m studying Revelation right now, so I may modify my answer after my thorough study is complete.

The question appears to be “Where is Hell?” The major fact about Hell is the loss of the vision and friendship of God. God’s love is often depicted as a burning love. If one is in love with God, the mutual love is protection from all evil (burning). Satan lacks this mutual love of God. Therefore, wherever Satan is, it is his Hell outside of the love of God. It can be everywhere the love of God is not. Then Hell does not have to be a specific location, though humans like to ascribe human qualities to the spiritual realm. No one has yet returned from death to tell us just how these things work, so we can’t accurately assign locations in human terms.

The important point of this whole topic is to remain in love with God at all times so Satan can’t have our souls.
