Please explain to me what Luke 18 is saying. I understand that several points are made through out the whole chapter. But I was wondering if the whole chapter, when read and studied, has an overall meaning to it. My understanding is that the “summary” of this chapter is that we are to pray always and to be humble before God and that verse 29 is the main “theme” of this chapter.

Thank you.

Well there are many important parts to Luke 18. The main idea I get from it is to have faith. Luke 18: 17 states that “whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it.” This is discussing how we are to be child-like in a sense that we are supposed to believe, yet still have questions… Luke 18:20, we have to follow the commandments and be faithful. At the beginning of the chapter it does talk about praying and to pray without becoming weary (Luke 18:1), then Jesus heals the blind beggar which enables more people to believe in him and have more faith in him.
Hope this helps!
