Hi! Please pray for all those who are afflicted by lust and temptations to sexual immorality. Although sin blinds us, even temptations can to an extent! I have been having a difficult time lately, and it could be caused by the anxiety of our fist child which is about to be born, but in any case Satan is using this as an “opportune” time. Please help me and all other men and women be strong and persevere. Thanks everyone!

Praying to the Holy Spirit to give you strength & fortitude to overcome your temptations.
 
Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

I recently read that the most effective way to battle lust is the contemplation of our Lords Passion. When lustful thoughts first enter your mind just gently redirect your thoughts to some part of the Passion such as the Scourging at the Pillar or how badly out Lords shoulders must have ached carrying the cross.
 
Mary, Mother most pure, and Joseph, chaste guardian of the Virgin, to you I entrust the purity of my soul and body. I beg you to plead with God for me that I may never for the remainder of my life soil my soul by any sin of impurity. I earnestly wish to be pure in thought, word and deed in imitation of your own holy purity. Obtain for me a deep sense of modesty, which will be reflected in my external conduct. Protect my eyes, the windows of my soul, from anything that might dim the luster of a heart that must mirror only Christ-like purity. And when the “Bread of Angels” becomes my food in Holy Communion, seal my heart forever against the suggestions of sinful pleasures. Finally, may I be among the number of those of whom Jesus spoke, “Blessed are the pure of heart for they shall see God.” Amen.

Praying for strength for you and all others afflicted by these temptations. Praying through the intercession of all the saints who fought such temptations.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!
