Lust. the final hurdle

I’ve been reminiscing on my last year of
high school and I remembered lusting
after this certain girl(I’m a boy) in my
class, it got so that I was not listening
to the class lesson but lusting with
all my might for this person. In retrospect,
no one confronted me w/ this and I
don’t recall hearing about it in church
(which I didn’t attend anymore then)
As a result, I developed a high sensitivity
in my thighs and groin areas whenever
I am sitting next to anyone, mom sent
me to a psychiatrist, a female one, but
I only lusted after HER!!
So please pray that my memory will be
healed of all such venial sins and that
I will be able to accept God’s mercy and
forgiveness.

Prayer is great, but please continue to seek medical treatment as well. It’s not either/or. It’s both/and.

It sounds like you have some psychiatric problems, and there’s no shame in seeing a psychiatrist to get them addressed.

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (GLam8833), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. Lusting after someone is of grave matter. As you didn’t know that before, you have not committed a mortal sin though.

I’m praying for you. May the Lord grant you a healthy mind and keep you from lusting.
 
I gave in b/c I fell into mutual masturbation
w/ a girlfriend, altho we never copulated.
But it became a DAILY thing and when we
broke up 6 months later… it didn’t end well.

Prayer To St. Amelia

St. Amelia, you always wanted to be a bride of Christ from a very young age. Your loyalty and fervor towards your desired vocation led you to firmly rebuff Charlemagne’s advances. He was so insistent and you were so unwilling that he ended up breaking your arm when you resisted holding his hand. Your arm was miraculously healed. Since then you have been the patron saint of shoulder and arm injuries, as well as farmers and fisherman. You were able to enter a convent as you dreamed you would, and we’re an exemplary religious the rest of your life. There are many legends surrounding you, but there is no doubt of your sincerity or virtue.

St. Amelia, we ask your prayers as we go through this life of sufferings, struggles, and broken dreams. Help us to keep our eyes fixed on God like you did, so that we may experience His grace and help in all our needs. Amen.
