Have a person in RCIA and was brought up in Lutheran Church and received Confirmation. Is that Confirmation valid in the Catholic Church or should he receive Confirmation on Easter Vigil?
Confirmation requires a validly ordained bishop or priest. The Catholic Church does not recognize the validity of Lutheran ordinations. Thus Lutheran confirmation would not be valid. Anyone who has received it and wants to enter the Catholic Church would need to receive the sacrament of confirmation from a Catholic bishop or priest.
