Tim Staples just spoke about Luther’s bread and wine beliefs on Catholic Answers Live today (Yesterday’s Broadcast).
Catholics believe that the bread and wine transubstantiate into the real body and blood of Jesus.
Lutherans believe that Jesus’ presence co-exists along side the bread and wine. THis is known as Consubstantiation. It was Luther’s personal belief, not one that was ever discussed by any early church father or any church leaders, nor from the bible.
