I was in confession. After I have said all my sins, the priest asked me if the sins I confessed was the same sins I confessed during my last coffession. I said no where in fact it was the same. Is my confession valid?

It sounds like you deliberately lied and knew it was wrong, so the sins you confessed are probably forgiven, but you should probably confess again about lying.

The priest isn’t trying to trick you or yell at you, he just wants to see if he can help you avoid repeat offenses.

Looks like you have to go confession again.
I would also add that you probably want to discuss the why you lied with your priest as well, not just confess that you did.

Are you scrupulous? If so, you’d be well advised to avoid posting these kinds of questions online and have more meaningful discussions with your ONE trusted priest confessor.

Why would you do that? I mean such a simple question. Why lie?

He wasn’t asking to be like “well than no forgiveness for you becauee you haven’t tried”. I think most people tend to confess similar sins each time, whether envy, pride, lust, whatever. He was asking so that if you said yes he could give you advice specific to the fact that you repeated these sins.

I get it can be embarrassing but embarrassment is really the last trick the devil can present us in the confessional. The devil doesn’t want us to go to confession so he does whatever he can to stop us. But once we are in the confessional, all he can do is hope we get embarrassed and “chicken out” from saying our worst sins. Don’t fall to the devil’s trick. Perhaps read this book so you can better understand how and when the devil tries to trick us:
