Lying on the internet

How about people who lie and say they are Catholic when they are SSPX?

I think that is very dishonest. I am almost certain there are a couple of frequent posters who do this.

:rotfl: No, I don’t change facts just for kicks, I just give anyone I talk about an alias and I am intentionally vague about details of stories or of where I live.

My profile is all true, except I don’t completely hate my cat.🙂 I kind of don’t hate it when it kills and eats nasty bugs that get into my house. And I felt bad for almost 2 whole seconds when I thought I ran it over with my car. And I don’t let my toddler hit it with a baseball bat.

But if it stops killing pests, then it can catch the next bus back to the animal shelter, because everything else about it is completely annoying.

hope you aren’t implying I am SSPX, I was just talking about how crazy that ideology is last night. But I agree with you. It strikes me as harmfully dishonest when anyone identifies themselves as vehemently Catholic, and then distances themselves from the Church as much as possible in their actions and attitude.

No, I was not implying it was you. I probably shouldn’t even have said anything, but everytime I read their posts, it irritates me, because I am almost sure they are not being honest.

I am comfortable with anyone who says they are SSPX, even though I might disagree, I respect their opinion. It is just them pretending to be something they are not, that is upsetting.
