Another idea of what you can do on the visitation days is to go ahead and go door-to-door and have an open discussion. You could tell the people your situation, even, and maybe they would have some suggestions. If not, then at least you’re not lying.

Have you tried dying your hair purple to “persuade” people not to let you in? 😃

Are you in the US? I’ll assume so. The first step is that you MUST fill out a FASFA.
You can also do this online at fafsa.ed.gov.

I’m a protestant who wants to become Catholic. In the mean time, I live at home and because of Baptist family, I am forbidden to anything Catholic. In fact, I am forced to attend a Baptist Church and attend a Baptist College. I hope to move out at the end of next semester (finances won’t allow me to do so before that point).

One of the things I must do at this college is go on weekly visitation (going door to door to talk to people about Christianity). Of course, I have to invite people to a Baptist Church and show them how to be a Baptist. There are obvious problems with this.

Every week I have fill a form out saying I went. If I don’t fill it out, I get kicked out. But I don’t want to lie, and I don’t want to go. So what should I do?
I believe you’re under duress here.

Since you accept the Church is the true one, and that you should not preach baptist doctrine, then you have only two options:
  1. Try to avoid by all means the baptist visitations.
  2. If you cannot, then I believe is licit to fake the forms, because you’ll only do so in order to avoid grave matter (that is: preaching to others what you know is a false religious doctrine) and it is licit because you’re not doing so with your free-will (you’re under duress).
But still, you should discuss it with a Priest before doing anything.

Blessings.

HUGS to you. I was 18 and the Viet Nam War was going on when I joined the Air Force. My family life was not good and further education was out of the question.

The government paid for my degrees. It was not easy to do. But, in the long run it was the best thing for me. This matter was discussed with my priest and my boyfriend (husband now for 38 years LOL.) I attended school when we had four children five and under for my undergraduate work. I attended graduate school when our eldest was working on her degree. It can be done. You just need to want it enough.

Remember to be faithful to your beliefs and Holy Mother Church. The rest will follow.
