(I hope I get this right)

ydych yn croeso!!
That was excellent mate. Do you speak Welsh? The word “croeso” is pronounced “krayso.” The letter “K” has a soft roll. Welsh is one of the most difficult languages in the world to learn since it has no “Xs” and no “Z’s.” Instead, we have double “LL’s” and double “DD’s.” For example the English equivalent of my name Gwaredd is Gareth.

Lechyd da! 😉

Thank you. I do not speak Welsh; sometimes even my English is bad.😃

I just went to an English/Welsh translator on the internet, typed in what you wrote and then typed in the response and had it translated. The internet can do amazing things. I used a translator to translate my Grandparent’s wedding certificate. They were married in Slovakia – it wasn’t an exact translation, but you could get the idea.

I can imagine that Welsh is hard to learn. Looking at the words, I have no idea how to pronounce them. I can appreciate the effort that it takes to learn Welsh, or if you are a native Welsh speaker, to learn English, since they seem to be radically different. I took Russian in high school (we won’t say how many decades ago that was) and learning it was very difficult so I can sympathize.

Shalom

Actually, seriously; lies often come up for “the greater good”, which we usually decide on the spot, such as the jeans example. This is not limited to “justified to maintain a marriage” category. Would you still agree on Wrong, but justified?
Are you saying that in certain cases such as this the ends justify the means? This should never happen!
I agree. .i am saying what i said for a genuine query.

boring example. In front of my grandmother, who was convalescing and not likely to survive (and in fact died a few days later), I made the mistake of saying out loud, “Hurry up you stupid squirrel! Get across the road!!” Well, the squirrel didn’t make it. Which would have greatly disturbed my grandmother. “Did he make it?” she asked. “Yes,” I said.
A lie.
For something so ultimately innoucuous, I lied to keep her comfortable. In one act, I kept her peace and comfort and I lied to do it. And I’d do it again to keep my grandma happy in her final moments.

hence, my question…
