do any of the New Testament books quote/refer to the Maccabees or any other deuterocanonical books?

I read the Apostles used the Septuagint to spread the word. . .which is an argument for the inclusion of the Deuterocanonicals. . .but any direct references or quotes would seem to completely smash the protestant rejection of these books.

Don’t forget the “apocrypha” was in the original 1611 AV and they were read in churches as healthy Christian works. (But not good for doctrines. ) They were even in the extremely anti-catholic Geneva Bible for the same reasons.

You mentioned historic discrepancies in 2 Maccabees. How many historic discrepancies have you found in 1 Maccabees and what are they? I’ve heard there are four.
