Magdalites? What?

Friends of my wife’s best friend claim to be Catholics AND “Magdalites”. Altho relatively well-informed about REAL religions and spiritualities, I’ve never heard of this one. It sounded like some New Age nonsense, so I started to do a little Internet research. All I came across is a lot of incomprehensible shamanistic claptrap. :whacky:

Does anyone know who or what “Magdalites” are, who can also give a simple and precise explanation?
