Magic 8 Ball?

Well, Magic 8 ball claims to know the future, and by that, OF COURSE, the inventors of this thing denie the presence of God. Because only God knows the future.
So if you are still playing with this thing please stop it because i have tried it and it made me lose my faith in Jesus for 2 weeks!!!

Look, if you are having trouble deciding to which restaurant you will go eat in for example, you can do as you always do ( THE COIN THING) and it is not a sin because you are not violating GOD RULES, it is considered as a game because, you are not by this act, denying God or his presence.
Or you can also try to have a conversation with your girlfriend and decide together where to go by simply thinking “WHER FOR EXAMPLE I WOULD PREFER TO HAVE LUNCH TODAY?” and she should also think in the same question and discuss together!!!

The ouji board is different. It has, as part of its very description, an understanding that it calls upon outside forces. The 8-ball is random.

Now, it can be applied in a way that makes it evil

How is that though?

I usually ask it the exact same question and it gives an opposite answer each time. I think it’s just a fun little application on my phone.

This is exactly right.

EVERYTHING can be applied in a way that makes it evil. It all depends on how you are looking at it. Is playing with an 8 ball evil? No way! It’s just a fun little toy. Just like those little paper thingies we used to make as a kid where you pick a color, a number, then it reveals your fortune or an answer to a question. NO ONE took them seriously because we all knew it was just random chance. Of COURSE I wasn’t going to grow up to marry Billy and have 16 kids and live in a trailer. Even children know that these things are just meaningless little toys.

Some people can take them too far, and in those cases it can be evil. For example, tarot cards. A deck of tarot cards can be used for simple card games. They don’t determine the future in that game either. It’s a battle game where you strategically play one charater to counter another. I own one, but I never play because, well frankly I have cooler games to play. Like Agricola 😉

We have to keep in mind that objects are morally neutral. NOTHING Is evil by itself. marijuana, condoms, ouijia boards, tarot cards, guns…they are all neutral. What you do with them is another story. Every one of these objects has an evil purpose if twisted to be used that way, or it can have a good use. A condom, when perforated, can be used to collect sperm samples to help a couple determine any fertility issues. Marijuana is a plant created by God that, with more research, could one day be refined and used as a replacement pain killer to get people off of dangerous, harmful, and addictive opiates. Oujia boards could be used for a simple game, rather than divination. Guns can be used to gather food or for self defense. Intent is everything.

I agree with you on Marijana as it is medicine which can either be use properly or abused - in this country is it primarily abused.

I agree with you on Guns as they can be used to hunt to provide food for families or they can be abused by using them to kill people.

I disagree with you on the Tarot Cards & Ouijia Boards - their only use is to invoke the demonic forces whether or not the players realize it.

The Catholic Church disagrees with you on the condoms as their sole purpose to remove pro-creation from sexual pleasure.

False.

The catholic church allows for the use of a perforated condom to collect sperm samples to determine fertility.

The object itself is morally neutral. What is done with it is another story.

I once had a religion teacher who was in tge seminary for a while and he said that playing with it COULD open you up to demonic possesion IF you actually belive… Much like the other posters have said
