I’m just giving everybody a heads up on a new organization that has been started. The Magis center exists to promote a discussion about the relationship between philosophy, theology, and science. The Magis Center of Faith and Reason is headed by Father Robert Spitzer, the Jesuit priest who appeared on Larry King Live a few weeks back with Stephen Hawking and Deepak Chopra. The Magis page on facebook is very alive and I invite everyone who is on facebook to come and join the page.

facebook.com/home.php?#!/MagisReasonFaith

Lately there seems to be a disproportionate number of more atheists/agnostics to theists. Everyone from all points of view are welcomed on the page. I just wanted to give everybody the heads up and possibly recruit some people to the page. So if anyone is on facebook, please join the page and join the discussion!

the official website is:
magisreasonfaith.org/

Magis will be putting out documentaries, books, etc. in the coming future.
I’m not affiliated with the organization in any way, I’m just a participant on the facebook page. I hope I’m not breaking any CAF rules by advertising for this page, please let me know if I should delete this thread.

Thanks!

I have just started Rev. Robert J. Spitzer’s new book New Proofs for the Existence of God, Contributions of Contemporary Physics and Philosophyhy
ISBN: 978-0-8028-6383-6 This for sure looks like an excellent read.

I’m a moderator for the facebook site (three guesses which one of the posters I am, and the first two don’t count). We’re getting a concentrated attack from an atheist site that’s determined to flood us, but the main moderator, Barb, is doing a good job of containing the more virulent evangelical atheists. Please visit and bring your comments and look at the discussion page. If you’re really into this, more moderators would always be welcome.

Granny, if you’re on facebook go add the Magis page! Father Spitzer has some notes and videos on the page and we’d love to have you!

Anselm…I think i know you!
